Can today’s youth learn anything from previous generations? This is a question as old as time.

What you do from your teenage years to your mid-twenties sets a foundation for the rest of your life . The decisions you make, the habits you build, and the mindset you develop can have a huge influence on your happiness, your sense of self-worth, and your contributions to society.

These are things I talked about every day with my son before he went to college. I now have these conversations every day with my teenage daughter who is just two years away from making the big leap.

Our conversations are not always easy. The generation gap between us is larger than ever. And the world is a very different place now compared to when I was growing up.

That said, I am a firm believer that there are some old-fashioned frameworks for navigating life that have not changed. What has evolved is how these frameworks must be applied in today’s context, and that is where the true discourse lies.

Young Dogs, Old Tricks is a podcast that attempts to share this discourse with all of you. In each episode, I introduce a topic and then explore it with my daughter to make it relevant to her.
